These Terms are the agreement between you and Individual Entrepreneur Galina Litvinova (ID 304783045), Tbilisi, Krtsanisi district, Nino and Ilia Nakashidze Street N 1 (ex Avlevi), Building N 3l, Apartment N 3, Georgia (“we”) about your use of Sisterra — the app inside Telegram, the Sisterra bot, and this website.
By creating a profile, ticking the acceptance box during onboarding, or otherwise using Sisterra, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy — it is part of the deal.
1. What Sisterra is
Sisterra is a social network for women: you create a profile, browse other profiles, like the ones you want to follow, and when a like is mutual — a match — a private conversation opens between you. Around the app there is an ecosystem of channels and communities run on Telegram.
Sisterra is an informational and communication service. We do not provide psychological, medical, legal, financial or any other professional services, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome — matches, friendships or anything else.
2. Who can use Sisterra
- Sisterra is a space for women. Creating a profile in violation of this is a breach of these Terms and leads to removal.
- You must be at least 18 years old. The app enforces this at profile creation.
- You need a Telegram account, and one Sisterra account per person.
- What you put in your profile must be true and about you; the photos must be of you and yours to use.
3. Verification
- Every profile passes identity verification before it becomes visible to anyone. Until then, no one can see it.
- Verification works like this: you take a selfie in the app, and a human moderator compares it with your profile photos. There is no automated facial recognition; every decision is made by a person.
- Verification cannot be skipped, bought or switched off — for anyone.
- If verification is declined, you see the reason and can submit a new selfie.
- Passing verification by deception — someone else’s photos, a selfie of another person, technical manipulation — is a material breach and leads to removal of the account.
- If we have serious reason to doubt an account’s authenticity, we may ask it to verify again.
4. Your content
Your content stays yours. So we can run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and display your profile content within Sisterra — that is its only purpose, and it ends when the content or the account is deleted.
You are responsible for what you publish. Publish only what you have the right to publish.
5. Rules of conduct
Not allowed on Sisterra:
- pretending to be another person, or misrepresenting yourself to gain access to the service;
- harassment, threats, insults, hate speech, or publishing another person’s private information without consent;
- fraud, scams, or soliciting money;
- spam and unsolicited advertising; commercial activity without our agreement;
- content that is illegal, or that sexualises or involves minors — this leads to immediate removal and, where the law requires, a report to authorities;
- scraping, automated access, or attempts to bypass verification, moderation or other technical protections.
6. Moderation
You can report a profile or a message from inside the app. Moderators may remove content, decline or revoke verification, restrict features, or ban an account — depending on the severity and repetition of the breach.
If you believe a moderation decision about your account is wrong, write to privacy@sisterra.app and we will review it.
7. Matches and conversations
A conversation opens only after a mutual like — nobody can message you without a match. You can end a match at any time; the conversation closes for both participants. Respect the choice of a woman who has unmatched or blocked you — attempts to reach her elsewhere against her will are a breach of section 5.
8. Leaving Sisterra
You can delete your account at any moment in the app (Settings → Delete account). Deletion takes effect immediately; what happens to the data is described in the Privacy Policy — in short: it is erased right away, with no retention period.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these Terms. For minor breaches we aim to warn first; for material ones — deception in verification, threats to other users’ safety, illegal content — we may remove the account without prior notice.
9. Disclaimers and liability
- Sisterra is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we depend on Telegram — its outages or decisions are outside our control.
- Verification means one thing: a human moderator matched a selfie against the profile photos. It is not a background check and not a guarantee of any person’s behaviour. Be as careful with people you meet through Sisterra as you would be anywhere else, especially when moving from chat to meeting in person.
- We are not a party to interactions between users and are not liable for them, to the extent the law allows.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence.
10. Changes to these Terms
When these Terms change, we announce it in the app or via the bot before the change takes effect, and update the version and dates at the top. If you keep using Sisterra after the effective date, the new Terms apply; if you do not agree with them, delete the account (section 8).
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Georgia. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live remain unaffected. If a dispute arises, write to us first — most things can be resolved without court. Failing that, disputes are resolved by the courts of Georgia, unless mandatory law gives you a different venue.
